Established in 2012 the Fiesta Junior Championship is a competitive and fast paced series for drivers age 14 -17 years and a great stepping stone into circuit racing for those graduating from karting or Autograss or even those entering junior motorsport for the very first time.
The Mk6 Ford Fiesta ST provides young racers with their first circuit racing experience and the championship provides a level playing field for teams and independent racers alike.
The championship frequents many high profile UK circuits such as Silverstone and Brands Hatch plus graduates include Aidan Moffat (BTCC), Freddie Lee (Pickup Truck Racing) and Aaron Thompson (Clio Cup).
The Fiesta Junior Championship also benefits from MSA Academy status, allowing those who compete to gain valuable insight, through coaching and lectures from trained MSA Academy staff throughout the season. A big asset to young racers who are new to circuit racing.
The 2016 season was the biggest to date with 7 different race winners from the 16 races over 8 weekends. Four of the winners were competing in their first full season of circuit racing proving that the Fiesta ST is a car young drivers can quickly adapt to and build their confidence.
The 2017 season looks promising with bigger grids providing a competitive start for junior racers and this cost effective championship is popular with many regardless of budget and team size.
